Last Thursday: Ex-Norwegian and With You I Want To Live at Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale
August 22, 2009
On Thursday night, I stopped off at Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale to see Ex-Norwegian perform and to check out the museum’s current exhibit With You I Want to Live. The Little One came in her cutest little t-shirt and jeans and Sweet Bronco showed up in his old beat up cutoff blue corduroys and Dead Meadow t-shirt. They were lookin’ awesome. Ex-Norwegian played in the breezeway between the museum’s entrance and its auditorium. Click on the band photo below to visit the photo gallery for the show.
Personally, I think it’s a pretty tall order for a band to bring out its best live show in the light of day without a stage, etc., but I think that the Miami band did a fine job. The exhibit was very impressive. I did a whirlwind guided tour with a museum docent, part of the Third Thursday experience, but I need to go back and spend more time with this exhibit. There’s interesting modern Chinese art and I knew that Warhol was a part of the exhibit, but I was surprised to learn that the exhibit had works by Banksy and Blek Le Rat too. It’s pretty rad, dads.
